Mayor Gamec recessed the regular meeting of the City Council at 9:12 p.m. Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council back to order at 9:20 p.m. Case #5: Public Hearing: Request for Vacation of Easements; Case of Oak Creek Builders Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 9:20 p.m. Presentation Associate Planner Wald stated that the City Council would be reviewing the preliminary plat of Alpine Acres at their June 24, 2003 meeting. The property being platted as part of Alpine Acres included underlying drainage and utility easements that were platted as part of the single family residential Lutz Ramsey Acres subdivision. Now the property is being proposed to be replatted as a townhouse development, which will contain new drainage and utility easements around all common areas, drainage ponds, and public utilities. City staff recommended introduction of the ordinance to vacate existing easements. Citizen Input There was none. Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to close the public hearing. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Strommen, Pearson, Cook, Kurak, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. The public hearing closed at 9:21 p.m. Council Action The regular meeting of the City Council was called back to order at 9:21 p.m. Councilmember Zimmerman stated that he wants to make sure that they don't vacate any easements for Alpine Drive. Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to introduce an ordinance to vacate certain drainage and utility easements in Lutz Ramsey Acres subdivision, contingent upon review by the City Attorney to verify that easements for Alpine Drive are not vacated.
