Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its. adoption. <br /> RESOLUTION #03-06-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING 2003 SCHEDULE OF RATES, FEES, AND CHARGES <br /> <br /> Whereas, the current Schedule of Rates and Charges was adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council under Resolution #02-11-288 on November 12, 2002, and: <br /> <br /> Whereas, staff is implementing a new building permit system to go live on July 1, 2003; <br />and 24, 2003; and <br /> <br /> Whereas, a distinction needs to be made between residential and commercial fees on <br />' mechanical Permits, re-roofing and plumbing perm/ts; and <br /> <br /> Whereas, the State Legislator passed into law a new bill stating the amount Cities are <br />allowed to charge for fireworks sales; <br /> <br /> Whereas, at the City Council meeting of June 24, 2003, staff recommended approval of <br />the amended Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges with the addition of the changes listed. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the 2003 Schedule of Rates, Fees, and Charges is hereby amended to establish the <br />following: <br /> Mechanical & Plumbing Permits-New Construction-Commercial-l% of Job <br /> Value. <br /> <br />Mechanical & Plumbing Permits-Remodel/Addition-Commercial-l% of Job <br />Value. <br /> <br />Plumbing Permit-New Construction-Residential $200.00 <br />Plumbing Permit-Remodel/Addition-Residential $50.00 <br /> <br />Re-roofing/Shingling-Commercial- 1% of Job Cost <br /> <br />Plan Check Fees on like plans-25% of Building Permit Fee <br /> <br />Fire Works-Business (including tents) sell only f'n:eworks-$350.00 <br /> <br />Fire Works-Retail Seller-$100.00 <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof; <br /> <br /> and the following voted against: <br /> <br />-132- and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> <br />
