The <br />FAUAR review requires the Council to determine its adequacy and accuracy in addressing regional cohere-ns. The <br />proposed project is located to the north of Trunk Highway C'ii-I) 10, west of Ramsey Boulevard NW, east of Armstrong <br />Boulevard, and south of 149m Avenue NW. The project site is currently agricultural land with some commercial and <br />industrial lands adjacent to TH 10. The Ramsey Town Center project proposes a mixed-use development with multiple <br />family housing, commerciaI, retail, and civic/transit center. The Council's review has eoncluded that the FAUAR is <br />complete. <br /> <br />There is one point of clarification in response to the FAUA_R. In the response to comments 4.1 and 4.3, the City indicates <br />that the Metropolitan Council Env/ronmental Services designed its interceptor system for a build out capacity of 7.87 <br />million gallons per day (MGD) for the City of Ramsey. The response indicates the current eapacity is limited to 3.8 MGD <br />because of bottlenecks in the downstream interceptor system. Although the interceptor pipe located at the corporate 1/mits <br />of the City of Ramsey has physical capacity-'.m excess of 3.8 MGD that was designed in the system for the City, this larger <br />capacity for the City was not designed for in the lower portions of the CAB interceptor. Based on the CAD design report <br />the MCES was to only pro'wide a capacity of 3.8 MGD to the City: 'A major portion of the downstream interceptor located <br />in the cities of Anoka and Champlin need to be reconstructed to provided for the long-term needs of the service area. <br />Council staff recommends another meeting with the tributary communities to discuss each cities long-term needs. <br /> <br />This concludes the Council's review of the FAUAR. The Council will take no formal action or file an objection on the <br />FAUAR.
