This map shows the area to be <br />considered for potential land use planning and fight-of-way preservation actions along or <br />near Trunk Highway (TH) 10 in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />The study area is bounded to the east by the City's eastern botmdary, to the west by the <br />Puma Street alignment, to the south by the Mississippi River, m-~d to the north by County <br />State-Aid Highway (CSAH) 116. As we have discussed, the key justifications for these <br />study area boundaries are as follows: <br /> <br /> · This area captures the portion of TH 10 in Ramsey with the highest potential for <br /> highway improvements on new alignment. Specific considerations will include the <br /> proposed upgrade of TH 10 to a freeway and potential aligrunent shifts (reflected in the <br /> TH 10 Corridor Management Plan), the proposed new alignment of CSAH 116 (being <br /> studied separately), the potential for a new MississipPi River crossing (alSO being <br /> studied separately), and potential interchange locations and configurations. <br /> <br /> · This area includes the Ramsey Town Center site, which represents a substantial <br /> commitment to development near TH 10. <br /> <br />This unique combination of transportation and land use factors creates an immediate need <br />to explore tools for transportation management, right-of-way preservation, and further land <br />use planning. Other City of Ramsey actions to be evaluated in the Alternative Urban <br />Areawide Review (AUAR) include official mapping, rezoning, or land use/policy planning <br />focused on the TH 10 corridor. <br /> <br />TH 10 AUAR STUDY AREA MEM 6-18-03 <br /> <br />-295- <br /> <br /> <br />
