It is believed that there are no park, trail, or tree
conservation issues relating to this parcel.

Motion by Commissioner Ostrum and seconded by Commissioner Asfahl to recommend that
City Council require $1,796.52 in park dedication be deposited in the Marble Recreation Distrcit
at the time of the lot(s) development.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Cook, Commissioners Asfahl, Droegemueller, Johns,
LaMere, Ostrum and Skinner. Voting No: None. Absent: None.

COMMISSION INPUT

Commissioner Skinner inquired whether we've heard anything from the Minnesota Sports
Federation to which Mr. Boos replied that a thank you letter had been sent, but no reply has been
received to date.

Chairperson Cook asked about the lighting at Park Center.

Mr. Boos indicated that the bulbs for the track lighting at Park Center cost $28 each, and that he
would like to have them changed to flourescent lights. He indicated that it should be part of the
Capital Improvement Program and deferred to 1997.

Mr. Boos said he is expecting 3 playground bids (for the playground near Emerald Pond Park).

He also said that the ballfield fencing extensions should be completed by the first week in May,
and that the bid deadline for ballfield lighting is April 19, and that the goal~-~,-~ * .... ~ tc ~c :~
placeby ~ 1. ~5 -~ ~-~},e...~ IB~;~

Park and Recreation Commission~.~96 ¢'9~' [X~ 0~U, Page 6 of 7
