Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos recommended that the Park and Recreation Commission <br />invite the City Council on a tour at their convenience. <br /> <br />Commissioner Droegemueller left at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum recommended sending invitations for a tour with lunch. Vice Chair Johns <br />explained that the tour should be held in September. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated that at <br />the next meeting he will pass out invitations. Commissioner Asfahl recommended the tour be held <br />at their next Park and Recreation Commission meeting. Vice Chair Johns explained that depended <br />on the Park and Recreation Commission agenda. Commissioner Ostrum stated that the tour should <br />be a social event, separate from the meeting. Parks/Utilities Supervisor explained that he would invite <br />the City Council at their meeting on Tuesday. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Osbourn asked if there were any plans regarding the condition of the ground cover at Solstice <br />Park. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained that they will be reseeding, and fertilizing this Fall. <br />He added that they had aerated yesterday. <br /> <br />Mr. Osboum explained he was served title summons from the resident behind him. He asked if there <br />are any plans for that property. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained that any plan would come <br />before the Park and Recreation Commission. He added that he did not foresee the Scotch Pines being <br />removed. <br /> <br />Mr. Osboum stated he would like to see more park and a ballfield. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos <br />explained that there may be space for a basketball court. He stated that he would look into the <br />financing for a blacktop pad for basketball after the other items were completed. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos informed the Park and Recreation Commission of park improvements <br />status at this time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Asfahl stated that she has be experiencing problems regarding residents mowing City <br />property. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaMere expressed concern regarding curb cuts and access to the parks and trails. <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained that there is no development now without curb cuts. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ostrum and seconded by Commissioner LaMere to direct Staffto place <br />curb cuts in Solstice Park and the trail by Commissioner LaMere's house. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chair Johns, Commissioners Ostmm, LaMere, Asfahl, and Johns. <br />Voting No: None.
