Commissioner Droegemueller clarified construction of the park will take place during 1997 and grass <br />planted, but not much else would transpire relating to park use. He reiterated a desire to see more <br />than just three ball fields and one soccer field. Mr. Boos concurred as lon$ as aesthetics and function <br />are taken into consideration. <br /> <br />Chair Cook indicated a desire to see Commissioner Droegemueller's plan adapted to the City's plan <br />taking into consideration traffic routes, separate use areas (Active, Passive), and appropriate <br />landscaping aesthetics. <br /> <br />Commissioner Asfahl was pleased with the City's parking layout concept. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos talked about concepts relating to hillside management of water runoff. <br /> <br />Commissioner Asfahi requested clarification regarding the RYAA and usage needs. She inquired <br />about the potential of staggering sport seasons. Commissioner Droegemueller stated that use for <br />various sport seasons start in April and go through August. Use of the parks during these times <br />would be Monday through Friday. <br /> <br />Chair Cook inquired about weekend use by the RYAA. Commissioner Droegemueller responded <br />weekend use is generally only for tournaments. <br /> <br />Commissioners Droegemueller, Johns, and Ostrom will attend the Thursday, October 24, 1996, 7p.m. <br />meeting where resident input will be received. <br /> <br />Commissioner Droegemueller will meet on Thursday, October 17, 1996, 9 a.m. with the City intern. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ostrum and seconded by Commissioner Asfahl to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chair Cook, Commissioners Ostrum, Asfahi, Droegemueller, Johns, <br />and LaMere. Voting No: None.
