Martinson, attorney for St. Paul <br />Terminals, that the City received today, objecting to Staff's recommendation and urging the <br />Planning commission to grant approval of the CUP extension request. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson asked if in regard to the comments Mr. Martinson makes, has staff been <br />working with them on further development. <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon stated there has been no discussion about further development. He <br />indicated staff is aware they have been trying to sell the property but nothing further. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson asked if there has been any recycling activity on the property. <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon stated staff has never seen any activity when they have gone by to <br />check. <br /> <br />Reeves clarified that staff has not been able to see any improvements or activity during their <br />inspections. <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon indicated that was correct. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated most of the Commissioner's were involved when they were granted the <br />last extension, and the Commission at that time wanted to give them a chance, but he would <br />agree that they have been given long enough. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Chairperson Nixt to recommend that the City <br />Council adopt Findings of Fact denying a request for extension to comply with terms of <br />conditional use permit issued to St. Paul Terminals. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Reeves, Shepherd, <br />Van Scoy and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Brauer. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Chairperson Nixt to recommend that City <br />Council adopt a resolution to deny the request for extension to comply with terms of conditional <br />use permit issued to St. Paul Terminals. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Reeves, Shepherd, <br />Van Scoy and Watson. Voting No: None.
