COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case A: <br /> <br />Anoka County Law Enforcement Issues <br /> <br />Police Chief Way explained that the Anoka County Law Enforcement Committee met on May <br />28th and appointed different officers to various committees. He has been placed on the CID and <br />Education and Training Committees. He explained that the County is in the process of updating <br />their communication system to an 800mhz system. The current system is maxed out and does <br />not work very well. The County is currently in the process of installing the necessary towers and <br />they hope to have the system in place in one year. He also noted that the City of Ramsey's Police <br />Department record system is one of the leading two systems in terms of record retention. As they <br />scan documents they become be available to officers in a squad car. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson stated that he was pleased to find out that the Ramsey Police <br />Department was a step ahead. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook stated that the more information the officers have the safer they are. <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Application for On-Sale and Sunday Intoxicating Liquor <br />License Super Bowl; Case of M&M Super Bowel, Inc. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:25 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Police Chief Way stated that Michael J. Anderson and Matthew S. Anderson, known as M & M <br />Super Bowl, Inc., dba Super Bowl, have properly applied for an on-sale and Sunday intoxicating <br />liquor license at 6720 Highway #10 NW, Ramsey. This is the current site of Holm's Super <br />Bowl. This was not a request for a new business; it was the sale of a current business. <br />Background investigations were completed and the application was reviewed and everything was <br />found to be in order. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to close the public <br />heating. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Pearson, Cook, Elvig, <br />and Zimmerman.
