boundary. <br /> <br />Hedge - A row of closely planted shrubs or low growing trees forming a fence or <br /> <br /> Landmark Tree(s) - Any tree which is determined by the City Council to be of <br />unique and intrinsic value to the general public. This could be the result of its size, age, historic <br />association or ecological value or any tree designated a Minnesota State Champion, United <br />States Champion or World Champion by the American Forestry Association. The City shall keep <br />a record of all specimen trees so designated and their location. <br /> <br /> Landscape Plan - The design and specifications for the placement of any live <br />plant materials such as trees, shrubs, ground cover and grasses as well as human-made structures <br />such as walls, fences, and berms. This also includes the retention of existing vegetation for the <br />purposes of enhancing property value and aesthetics, protecting the community's environment, . <br />and minimizing negative impacts on visual order of the community. <br /> <br /> Landscaping - The use of natural plant materials including but not limited to, <br />ground covers, shrubs, and trees (deciduous and evergreen). Landscaping also involves the <br />placement, preservation, and maintenance of such plant materials and includes such elements as <br />fences, walls, lighting, and earth mounding. <br /> <br />'maturity. <br /> <br />Large Tree'- Any tree expected-to reach a height.in excess of thirty (30) feet at <br /> <br /> Municipal Forestry Program - Shall be synonymous with "City Tree Planting <br />Program" and shall include, but not be limited to: <br /> <br />(a) Tree planting, maintenance, removal and replacement; <br /> <br />(b) Leaf collection and disposal; <br /> <br />(c) Community relations activities including information on tree <br />plantings, seedling distributions, and Arbor Day observations; and <br /> <br />(d) Any enforcement of City ordinances relating to the City's tree <br />planting program_. <br /> <br /> Native Species - Any species of plant considered to be indigenous to the Anoka <br />County sand plain. <br /> <br />On-Site - Any location within the boundaries ora site. <br /> <br />properties. <br /> <br />Opacity - The degree to which a structure, use or view is screened from adjacent <br /> <br /> Park - Shall include any city public spaces designated for recreation and/or <br />conservation. <br /> <br />Person - An individual or firm, association, partnership, and corporation. <br /> <br />29 <br /> <br /> <br />
