Street Frontage - The proximity of a parcel of land to one (1) or more streets. An <br />interior lot has one (1) street frontage and a comer lot has two (2) such frontages. <br /> <br /> Temporary Sign - A sign which is erected or displayed for a limited period of time' and <br />not affixed to a Uniform Building Code (UBC) approved structure. <br /> <br /> Wall Sign - Any sign which is affixed to a wall of any building. This definition includes <br />individual letter signs and signs on mansards. <br /> <br /> Window Sign - A sign installed inside a window, or any sign placed within a building <br />for the purpose of being visible from the public right-of-way. This does not include merchandise on <br />display. <br /> <br /> Zoning Administrator - The person charged with the administration and enforcement of <br />this section. <br /> <br />9.12.03 General Provisions <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Address Sign. One (1) address sign shall be required per main <br />building in all districts in accordance with Section 8.02 of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Bench Sign. Bench signs shall be permitted only at bus Stops. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3. Ground Sign. A ground sign shall not project higher than twenty-five <br />(25) feet as measured from base of sign or grade of the nearest adjacent roadway, whichever is lower. <br />Any ground sign within fifty (50)~ feet of any intersection of street right-of-way lines and/or driveway <br />entrances shall have a minimum vertical clearance of twelve (I2) feet above the centerline of the <br />pavement unless it can be shown that it can comply with Subd. 5.b. 1 and 2 herein. <br /> <br /> Subd. 4. Canopies or Marquees. Canopies and marquees shall be considered to <br />be an integral part of the structure to which they are an accessory. Signs may be attached to a canopy or <br />marquee, but such structures shall not be considered as part of the wall area and thus shall not warrant <br />additional sign area. <br /> <br />Subd. 5. Location <br /> <br />No sign. other than governmental signs shall be erected or temporarily placed within <br />any street or public right-of-way or upon any public easement. <br /> <br />bo <br /> <br />A permit for a sign to be located within fifty (50) feet of any street or highway <br />regulatory or warning sign, or any traffic sign or signal, or Of any crossroad or <br />crosswalk, will not be issued unless: <br /> <br />82 <br /> <br /> <br />
