Subd. 3. Home Occupation Signs. Home Occupation signs may be permitted 'in <br />accordance with Section 9.11.04 (Home Occupations) of the City Code. <br /> <br />9.12.08 Business Type Districts <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. <br /> <br />Business Use Signs <br /> <br />Wall, Canopy or Marquee Sign. Total sign area may not exceed fifteen percent <br />(15%) of the front building facade. Businesses in multi-tenant buildings shall be <br />allowed the proportionate share of the total wall sign area. ~* ~* c,,~,, <br /> ............ j percent <br /> <br /> '~ ............ ~e total wall <br />sjgnage pe~i~ed may be distributed on any other buildin~ facade. $i~ height <br />shall not exceed the top of the parapet wail or, if no p~apet wall, sign height shall <br />not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, canopy or marquee si~ may be located <br />on the oute~ost wall of any principal buildin~ but shall not project more than <br />sixteen (16) inches ~om the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. The gross <br />su~ace area of a wall, c~opy or marquee sign may be increased by ten percent <br />(10%) if such wall si~: <br /> <br />Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, numeric and/or symbolic <br />characters without background except that provided by the building surface to <br />which the sign is to be affixed; and <br /> <br />Illumination, if any, is achieved through shielded illumination, shielded <br />silhouette lighting, or shielded spot lighting but not any lighting where the <br />light soui'ce is visible or exposed on the face or sides of the characters. <br /> <br />Ground Sign. There shall not be more than one (1) ground sign for each parcel. <br />The gross surface area ora ground sign shall not exceed one hundred (100) square <br />feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface area of two <br />hundred (200) square feet. <br /> <br />Service Bay Identification Signs. Service bay identification signs providing <br />direction or instruction to persons using the facility and containing no advertising <br />material of any kind shall be subject to the following: <br /> <br />1. All service bay identification signs shall be wall signs. <br /> <br />There shall not be more than one (1) service bay identification sign for each <br />service bay located on the parcel. <br /> <br />88 <br /> <br /> <br />
