Chairperson Cook stated they were trying to provide different things for the kids to do besides <br />organized sports. He stated the future of recreation was to see families do things together. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated people were traveling to parks more often with their kids. <br /> <br />Chairperson Cook stated they started to put a passive use aspect on the park along with other <br />aspects like organized sports and play equipment. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock stated people were using the parks with trails more than parks with other <br />activities. <br /> <br />Chairperson Cook stated that they tried to put more passive uses into the parks now. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock stated people were looking for multi-use bigger parks. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated they were looking for quality in the parks. He stated they were meeting the <br />needs of the residents and trail connections would be critical.
