AN2'qOUNCEMENT <br /> <br />'11 <br /> <br /> PubIic Forum for <br />The City of Ramsey Master Trail Plan <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey and the consulting firm of LH~, invite you to a work session with the <br />Park and Recreation Commission to discuss the Master Trail Plan. This project is an <br />opportunity to participate in mail and open space planning and improve your neighborhood for <br />the future. Please plan on attending and sharing your ideas and visions as well as any <br />concerns you may have for trails and natural resource corridors in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Five public meetings wiI1 be held specifically to discuss trail issues in different geographic <br />areas of the City throughout chis fall. However, your invited to any of the meetings which .are <br />held on differing days of the month in attempt to insure you can make at least one meeting - <br />even if it's not the one focusing on your neighborhood. <br /> <br />The work sessions will be informal, and written comments are also welcome. Each of the <br />meetings will be held at Fire Station No. 2, 15050 Armstrong Blvd. from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />With your input, we will develo~ the IV[aster Trail Plan from the general framework listed <br />below - which are also Park and Recreation objectives identified in Ramsey's Comprehensive <br />Plan: <br /> <br /> Provide neighborhood parks within the urban areas, which are focal points of pride <br /> and identity for each neighborhood in Ramsey. <br />· Provide accessibility to all Community Parks through safe, on-off road trail <br /> connections. <br />· Preserve continuous open space corridors that protect natural vegetation and water <br /> quality, provide wildlife habitat and preserve the natural identity of Ramsey. <br />· Develop an effective and efficient system of parks and trails that meet the needs of <br /> Ramsey residents~ both urban and rural. <br /> <br />Ar each meeting, a brief presentation on the City's Trail System will be given, with a synopsis <br />of the Master Trail Plan process. Agendas and additional information will also be available at <br />the meeting. In the event of inclement weather or reschedul~d meetings, check with City Hall <br />to confirm meeting dates.
