This project could be the single most important recreational and natural resource <br />investment the City will make and may come to define one aspect of Ramsey outside of <br />it's borders. The approximate 6-mile valley traverses the Northern 1/3ra of the city and is <br />the largest, contiguous, undeveloped corridor in this part of the county. Partnership <br />opportunities are many, as are the sustainable recreational uses. The magnitude of the <br />endeavor is such that it may only be undertaken by State participation like LCMR <br />funding. <br />The City is expecting to be awarded $2,000,000 million dollars for land protection along <br />the Brook in late 2002. The funding, to be approved by the State Legislature recognizes <br />that the Trott Brook Trail Corridor will be a part of a 108-mile trail loop in the North <br />Metro. <br /> <br />#17 Titterud Park Irrigation $40,000 <br /> <br />This present day dollar amount indicates the irrigation of most of the 13-acre park. <br /> <br />Future Proposed Projects ? <br /> <br />· Community Center <br />· Trees and landscape for all parks <br />· Hockey rinks and warming house/community building for Alpine park <br />· Remaining segments of trail for Alpine Drive [Bonding?] <br />· Trail connection to Anoka at 'Kings Island' <br />· Trail connections to Elk River [3 plus] <br />· Fishing Pier for the Mississippi <br />· Elevated crossing of the Railroad tracks and Hwy 910 <br />· Mississippi River Trail from Elk River to Anoka <br />· <br /> <br /> <br />
