The following comments were made:

Group A
1. Need safe way to cross Highway 10 [West ½]
2. Keep trail on public right-of-ways (back yards too small)
3. Explore "critter crossing" under Highway 10 West. M_nDOT to connect the Lake Itasca
Trail, Mississippi River, Trott Brook (to the North), etc. MnDOT has $2 million
immediately available.

Group B
1. Need a bike crossing on. proposed bridge over Mississippi (to get into Dayton)
Three out of five Dayton City Council members want crossing
2. Need a bike/pedestrian crossing over Highway 10
General Comment: Trail naming. Could be a color theme with symbols.
3. Ieglens Marsh Park needs help. It has become a dump and weedy due to people
throwing yard waste. Would like to see trail here to discourage dumping, etc. More
visibility. Floating boardwalk would be nice.
Trail with boardwalk throu~ wetland? Floating boardwalk?
Traffic may help reduce incidents of vandalism and dumping that is occurring
Signage - trail changes sides of the road
Clarify signs - "No motorized vehicles" Authorized vehicles only
Common theme of signage - Logo of the City, common material, color.

12
