Staff can identify other funding sources until the TIF
District is created.

Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he could see identifying the $50,000 be taken from
somewhere else, but would not want the $400,000 construction costs to come forward before the
TIF District is created.

City Attorney Goodrich replied that the Council could authorize up to $50,800 for engineering
fees on the project, but that no further expenditures are to be spent on the project until the
district is created and if it is determined by the City Attorney and City Administrator that funds
could not be reimbursed for the engineering funds they will not go forward.

City Council/September 11, 2001
