APPROVE PLAzNTs'ING CO~IhkLISSION M_D4-t,rTES <br /> <br />Commissioner Kociscak noted that on page 1_3 of the July 10, 2000 minutes the date the Amcor <br />permit expired should be September 30, 1999 rather than September 30, 2000. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kociscak, seconded by Commissioner Dempsey, to approve the <br />following minutes as amended: <br /> <br />1) Planning Commission public hear/rog and regular meeting minutes dated July 10, 2000. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. VotLng Yes: Vice-Cha/rperson Ni~, Commissioners Kociscak, Dempsey, <br />Johnson, Reeve, and Wlvoda. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />PU~BLIC H~ARI3'G$/CO~EVlE[$SION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #2: Request for Sketch PIan Review of Smith Addition; Case of David A, Smith <br /> <br />Community, Development Intern Blackburn stated that David Smith is requesting sketch plan <br />approval of a minor subdivision to plat a 20-acre parcel into 2 lorn. Lot 1 will accommodate the <br />e,-dsting homestead on the subject property for David Smith. The property is located on the east <br />side of Armstrong Blvd., south of 156~ Ave. NW. The 2 lot m/nor subdivision on 20 acres is hq <br />conformance with 4 [n 40 density zoning. Both of the lots will have the required 200 feet of <br />frontage on public roads. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kociscak Lnquired as to what N'[SA road access was being suggested. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frotik explained that 153~ Avenue will be extended through <br />the property, and for that reason staff recommended that access be reverted onto 153~ Avenue <br />rather than Armstrong Boulevard. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dempsey questioned how the road will impact the wetlands on Lot 2. <br /> <br />Community, Development Director Frolik replied that the road will skir~ the wetlands. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dempsey inquired as to what impact the road will have on platting the property. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik replied that the property wilt be split by the road <br />e~ension. City Attorney Gooch-ich noted that the City holds a significant drainage easement on <br />the wetlands east of the new road. <br /> <br />Motion by Corn_missioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to accept the sketch <br />plan for the David A.
