RIVER'S BEND and SOLSTICE PARKS BID OPENING SUMMARY and RECOMMENDATIONS On Monday, September 24, at 10:00 am bid were opened and quotes were tabulated for River's Bend Park irrigation and Solstice Park irrigation systems, respectively. Bids and quotes for the two projects were opened and read aloud in council chambers. However, upon staffs review of Talberg Lawn and Landscape's quote, it was found to be inconsistent with the City of Ramsey's specifications, and was deemed incomplete. Anderson Irrigation was the second lowest quote for the project at $13,690. River's Bend Park Irdqation Anderson Irrigation came in with the lowest bid for this project at $23,400 for the base bid and $31,400 with the alternate zones. Therefore, staff recommends that Anderson Irrigation is awarded both the Solstice Park and the River's Bend Park irrigation system installations with work to begin in October of 2001. Finance Committee Action: Motion to recommend City Council approve a 2001 park improvement budget for Solstice and River's Bend Parks of $95,000 in total, funded from $45,000 in Landfill Trust Fund interest earnings, and $50,000 in Lawful Gambling Funds, -and - award the Solstice Park and River's Bend Park irrigation projects to Anderson Irrigation for $13,690 and $31,400 respectively. -19-
