CASE #: 1

PROPOSED FUNDING SOURCE FOR CENTRAL PARKS ENTRANCE PLAN
By: Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Supervisor

Background:

As the Commission may recall, on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 City Council reviewed
the proposed entrance plan for Central Park. By consensus, City Council recommended
the Commission to consider the stone sign and associated landscaping only at this time.
Another suggestion was to include "City of Ramsey" on the face of the sign. City
Council was informed that the Park and Recreation Commission would examine the new
proposed project to recommend a funding source.

Observations:

Attached for your review is a draft budget for the original scope of the project. Staff will
bring the plan view and elevated view to the meeting.

Commission Action:

Based upon discussion.

Reviewed by:

Parks/Utilities Supervisor
Commissioner Mike Rolfe

Copies To:

Finance Officer
Director of Public Works

P & R: 03/08/01
