ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TASK FORCE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA On Thursday, December 19, 2002, the Environmental Policy Task FOrce met in the COnference Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd, N.W.,'Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Chairperson Joe McDilda Vice Chairperson Michael Max Committee Member Erika Sitz Committee Member Margaret Cormolly Committee Member Sarah Strommen Committee Member Sue Dvorak Members Absent: Committee Committee Committee Member Todd Cook Member Seth Marshall Member Michael Reeve Also Present: Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik Parks & Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos Rich BiSke (Anoka Conservation District) CALL TO ORDER: Chairperson joe McDilda called.the committee meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Committee Member Max and seconded by Committee Member Colmolly to approve the regular meeting minutes of December 2, 2002, with the following correction: The last bullet item under Action Items should state that Members Strommen and Connolty will review a draft format for tree planting bulk standards at a meeting in January and eliminate the specific reference to the January 19, 2003 agenda. DISCUSS TIMING OF CITY COUNCIL UPDATE Mr. McDilda noted that Sarah Strommen has been appointed as the City Council liaison to the Environmental Policy Task Force (EPTF). Consensus was to go to City Council some time in February with a update on the Task Force progress and hopefully present the first draft of the tree ordinance at that time. Discussion ensued regarding the need to schedule some larger blocks of time to work on the ordinance. Ms. Dvorak was directed to coordinate a Saturday session for the Task ForCe to work on the draft tree preservation ordinance, preferably on January 11, 2003. 4
