Jack Newcomb, 6301 Rivlyn Avenue NW, Ramsey, stated that he was present with Roxanne
Tersteeg, 6263 Rivlyn Avenue NW, Ramsey, and several others representing the property owners
of the eight lots on the north side of Rivlyn Avenue NW that have residences on them. They
respectfully presented a petition in opposition to the rezoning of these lots and requested a
comprehensive plan amendment to reflect their continuing to be zoned residential R-1. Rivlyn
Avenue is a two block long street with cul-de-sacs at each end and with the only access being by
way of Tungsten at the center (to Highway #10 and/or Riverdale). The petition was signed by six
of the eight lots affected and by three of the property owners on the south side of Rivlyn Avenue.

Mayor Gamec accepted the petition and directed that the City Council discuss the issue at a
future work session. He also requested that staff notify the property owners as to when that
meeting will occur.

Principal Planner Trudgeon noted that the issue was scheduled for the June 5th Planning
Commission meeting, but staff will defer action at the Planning Commission until staff receives
direction from the City Council.

APPROVE AGENDA

Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to approve the
agenda as presented.

Motion carried.
