CASE <br /> <br />AWARD BID FOR ONE COMMERCIAL TURF MOWER <br /> By: Jessie Hart, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Included in the 1995 Adopted General Fund Budget is $26,500.00 for the purchase of one <br />commercial turf mower. On January 24, 1995, the Ramsey City Council authorized the solicitation <br />of sealed bids for a commercial turf mower with a 12' cutting path. Bids were solicited and <br />received and opened at the Municipal Center on Friday, February 17, 1995. <br /> <br />Two bids were received and opened at the time specified in the bid packet. It had been requested <br />that each vendor supply a bid for both a new and demonstration mower meeting the City's <br />specifications. The following summarizes the bids received: <br /> <br /> New <br />North Star Turf Inc. $32,597.00 <br />Midwest Specialty Sales $25,900.00 <br />[bid amounts do not include 6.5% sales tax] <br /> <br /> Demo <br />No bid <br />$24,400.00 [34 hrs] <br /> <br />The demonstration model bid by Midwest Specialty Sales meets all of the requirements specified <br />by the City.
