Vendors bid amounts varied from $18,300 [which utilizes all existing hardware with no additions] <br />to $220,000 [which does not include all required software products and utilizes very little existing <br />equipment]. The budgeted amount for the computer system upgrades is $134,000. There are at <br />least two of the vendors that will be able to provide the required systems and stay within the <br />budgeted amount. <br /> <br />Computer demonstrations are being conducted the week of April 17 - 21, 1995 by four of the six <br />vendors. The fifth demonstration will be done on Monday, April 24, 1995. The sixth vendor is <br />our current vendor and has no additional products to demonstrate, therefore no demonstration has <br />been scheduled. Because of the nature of the Novell network, demonstrations are not necessary. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendations: <br /> <br />Based on the detail review of all proposals received, and the demonstrations by the various <br />vendors, I anticipate providing a recommendation on Tuesday, April 25, 1995, to aw .ard a contract <br />for the integrated financial systems, Novell network, and related software and hardware. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Based on recommendation presented on Tuesday, April 25, 1995, motion to recommend Council <br />approve a resolution Receiving Bids and Awarding Contract for the Purchase of a Replacement <br />Integrated Financial System and Novell Network. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br /> <br />City Adminislrator <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />Copies distributed to: <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator <br />Secretary/Network Support <br /> <br />FC 04/25/95 <br /> <br /> <br />
