eariy as July but will more likely not be in front of Council for decisions until about that
time.

With apparent completion of the Public Works facility needs, we have again turned our
attention to Police, Community Development, Finance and Administrative Services. This
is a separate item on this same agenda. I believe the Fire Board will be discussing Fire
facility needs this year as well.

Parks are also in front of Council at this time. A visit to Central Park would be timely in
that all of the requested RYAA improvements for 1995 are complete. Boardwalk/trail
projects are on this agenda and Emerald Pond continues to receive budgeted improvements.
This park district has received significant revenues over the original budget (as projected).
Therefore, the Park and Recreation Commission is expected to request a budget amendment
for this park and/or the C.R.#116 trail project which will either be built in 1995 or delayed
indefinitely.

You have all been following the progress of the Elementary School project. Construction
related to this project has begun with demolition of the homestead south of the existing
school.

The Willow Ridge subdivision is under construction. Requked de-watering is and will be
a neighborhood concern as water is rising with either non-existing or restricted outfalls.
The storm drainage study will be proposing corrective actions which will be projects in the
near term. Fox Knoll and River's Bend 4th Addition, as well as Sunfish Square and
Chestnut Hills 5th Addition, are 1995 subdivision projects. Chestnut Ridge additions are
Sunwood Drive dependant and therefore, may be delayed to 1996. At this point, we don't
expect platting beyond the above developments.

Other than the above, not much has been going on in the development area. If any of this
raises questions or concerns, I would be happy to address them.

Committee Action:

Based on discussion.

Reviewed by:

City Administrator

FC: 05/23/95

/jmt
