CASE

STATUS REPORT ON TRUNK HIGHWAY #47
CORRIDOR AND ACCESS STUDY
By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer

Background:

At the May 23, 1995 Road and Bridge Committee meeting, I reported that I had sent a draft scope
of study to MnDOT, Anoka County and Met Council for comments. I am attaching a response
from the Anoka County Highway Department which expresses a commitment of participation from
a technical standpoint. I have already discussed the comments from MnDOT at the May 23, 1995
meeting, and have since received information from MnDOT or similar studies for assistance in
developing the scope of our study. I have received no response from Met Council.

At this point, I feel it is important to proceed with a request for services to consulting engineers
who have developed particular expertise in this area. I am attaching a draft of the proposed RFP
for your review and propose sending it to the following consultants for proposal:

S trgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc.
BRW, Inc.
Short-Elliot-Hendrickson, Inc.
TKDA and Associates, Inc.

Action:

Modify the draft RFP and recommend to Council authorization to solicit RFP.

Reviewed by:

City Adminislxator
Finance Officer

R&B:6/27/95
