JUST A FEW QUESTIONS FOR THE CITY OF RAMSEY TO CONSIDER <br /> CONCERNING NON-SECURE GROUP HOMES FOR CORRECTIONS <br /> <br /> 1. How many Non-secure Group Homes for Corrections (D.O.C. Licensed) does the <br /> City of Ramsey intend to absorb? Total number per capita? <br /> <br /> 2. What proximity to each other? Right next door? Across the street, 1/4 <br /> mile apart, 1 mile apart, 5 miles apart? <br /> <br /> 3. What proximity to Home Operated Day Care Centers? (See No.2) <br /> <br /> 4. With Minnesota statutes as they stand, ho~¢ does City, let alone citizens <br /> get notification of Group Home either moving in or being established? <br /> <br /> 5. Keep & Update a list of these Group Homes? Current docun~ntation should <br /> be a must? <br /> <br /> 6. Limit these Homes to Mom & Pop operations? <br /> <br /> 7. Disallow Corporation Type Homes from being established? Staff Only? <br /> <br /> 8. Keep maximum number of youth to six (6) on any site? <br /> <br /> 9. Limit types of Offenders? Disallow Sex Offenders? Aggressive Type <br /> Offenders? Assault? Crimes With Firearms? <br /> <br />10. Truth in purchasing home for this type use? <br />11. Study to find descrease in Property Values? <br />12. Monitor number of Police Calls? Disallo~¢ License Renewal? <br />13. Any special use Waivers, do not run for Entire Life of property. <br />].4. Special Funds for Litagation? <br />15. City License Fee for extra Public Services required? <br /> <br />16. Code Enforcement Officer for complaints of these Homes and other general <br /> complaints on city codes? <br /> <br />17. Require Monthly, Bi-weekly reports from Group Home to Code Enforcement <br /> for internal problems in these Homes? <br /> <br />18. Require ~arger acreage to run such Group Homes? More isolation frUm <br /> Concerned Neighbors? <br /> <br />19. Bi-Annual reports from State on these Homes in our City? <br /> <br />20. Generate special ordinances on these Homes to ensure Public Safety? <br /> <br />21. Special City Panel to monitor Problems & Grievances involving any Group Home? <br /> <br />22. Homeowners Insurance cancelled or higher premiums after incidents caused by <br /> Group Home Residents? <br /> <br /> <br />
