Chairperson Deemer called the regular Board of Adjustment meeting back to order at 7:06 p.m. <br /> <br />BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for a Variance to Construct an Accessory Structure Nearer <br />the Front Property Line than the House at 14840 Bowers Drive; Case <br />of Luther Olson <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Thomd and seconded by Board Member Terry to include as a part of the <br />minutes of this meeting a petition subrm'tted from the neighboring property owners to the subject. <br />property indicating their support of the proposed location for the Olson garage. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Thorud, Terry, Hendriksen, <br />Holland, and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Member Bawden. <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment proceeded to review the Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Holland and seconded by Board Member Hendriksen to accept Findings <br />of Fact/ti through//12 as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Holland, Hendriksen, LaDue, <br />Terry, and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Member Bawden. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Thomd and seconded by Board Member Hendriksen to amend Findings <br />of Fact//13 through #15 in the affh'mative. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Thorud, Hendriksen, <br />Holland, LaDue, and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Member Bawden. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Deemer and seconded by Board Member Hendriksen to add a finding to <br />indicate that the homestead originally fronted on Highway #10 and, at a later date when Bowers <br />Drive was constructed, what was originally considered the front yard is now considered the side <br />yard, and had it not been for that fact the variance would not have been necessary. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Hendriksen, Holland, LaDue, <br />Terry, and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Member Bawden. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Hendriksen and seconded by Board Member Holland to adopt <br />Resolution//95-05-113 adopting Findings of Fact #0376, as amended, relating to Luther and <br />Nancy Olson's request for a variance to construct an accessory structure nearer the front property <br />line than the principal structure. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Hendriksen, Holland, LaDue, <br />Terry, and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Member Bawden. <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment proceeded to review the terms of the variance. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Hendriksen and seconded by Board Member Holland to adopt <br />Resolution//95-05-114 approving the issuance of a variance to Luther and Nancy Olson at 14840 <br />Bowers Drive N.W., and declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Deemer, Board Members Hendriksen, Holland, LaDue, <br />Terry, and Thorud. Voting No: None.
