ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Economic Development Commission conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, <br />January 5, 1995, at Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Kenneth Wagner <br />Commissioner Carolyn Nelson <br />Commissioner Allen Stafld <br />Commissioner Mike Marquart <br />Commissioner Kent (arrived at 6:38 p.m.) <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Mary Ullen <br />Commissioner Sam McGhee <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />James Gromberg, Economic Development Coordinator <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Wagner called thc meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nelson and seconded by Commissioner Stafld to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Nelson, Stafki, and <br />Marquart. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Ullen, Kent and McGhee. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Goals and Projects for 1995. <br /> <br />As the Commission members may be aware, in the beginning of 1994, the Economic Development <br />Commission set forth the following goals for review such as combining the community picnic and <br />the Ramsey Business Expo, to develop a business visitation program that allows for the visiting of <br />local businesses to discover their needs and make contacts for future use in both expansion plans <br />and Economic Development Commission events, develop and plan for additional monument <br />entrance signs, and completion of the regular Economic Development Commission activities such <br />as the Business Appreciation Day, Game Fair booth and to set up a meeting with the Anoka Area <br />Chamber of Commerce as to the possibility of setting up an arm of the Chamber to serve the City <br />of Ramsey businesses. <br /> <br />The EDC has met with some success in meeting these goals set in 1994. There could be a possible <br />combination of the Community Picnic and the Ramsey Business Expo.
