Boos responded that it takes an expenditure of approximately $2.31 per capita, along with other <br />requirements. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder advised that if the Commission desires monies specifically for trees, they had better <br />say so now. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos indicated that a winter workshop discussing trees, roadways, and pedestrian/roadway <br />issues might be a good idea. <br /> <br />Staff will examine the legality of using monies from the Lawful Gambling Fund or whether <br />another source will be needed. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johns and seconded by Commissioner Asfahl to recommend to the <br />Finance Committee that a line item for trees be added. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Asfahl, Johns and Skinner. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Cook and Osbom. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos passed around the Anoka County Parks Agenda. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos informed the Commission about an Eagle Scout who made numerous bird houses to be <br />placed in various locations throughout Ramsey. The consensus of the Commission was that a <br />Community Service Award be given to the individual. <br /> <br />Next Park and Recreation Commission Meeting <br /> <br />The next regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, <br />August 10, at Rabbit Park. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Asfahl to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
