NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
Consensus of the Commission to note the following:

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated June 27, 1995.
City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated July 11, 1995,
City Council work session minutes dated July 17, 1995.

City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated July 25, 1995.
City Council public heating and regular meeting minutes dated August 8, 1995.
City Council special meeting minutes dated September 4, 1995.

COMMISSION BUSINESS:

Case #1:

RECOMMEND PARK DEDICATION FOR THE BRANDSETH
ADDITION

Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos reviewed the sketch plan of Mr. Blaine Edmundson for the
approximate 22.5 acre Brandseth Addition, located behind and to the east of Ramsey Municipal
Center. (in the southwest corner of the intersection of 153rd Avenue N.W. and T.H. #47). Forty-
five single family lots serviced by municipal water and sanitary sewer are proposed for the
addition.

The major concern of the Commission is getting pedestrian traffic to Ramsey Elementary, Alpine
Park and Solstice Park.

Chairperson Hetland expressed a desire to see a stop sign on County Road #5 at 153rd Ave. N.W.
Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos said that the City could request Anoka County study the problem,
but indicated that he held little hope that anything would be done. A crosswalk already is in place
in front of Rarnsey Elementary School where a speed limit of 45 mph exists.

The Commission requested that City staff review the crosswalk/stop sign issues and forward any
recommendations.

Motion by Chairperson Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Cook to require the developer to
pave a path parallel to 153rd Avenue N.W. between County Road #5 and T.H. #47 at a credit of
$6.00 per lineal foot against park dedication due,for that path outside the subdivision.

-and-

The developer salvage or protect as many cedar trees as deemed practicable by the City.

Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Asfahl, Cook, Johns, LaMere
and Skinner. Voting No: None. Absent: None.

Park and Recreation Commission/September 14, 1995
Page 2 of 4
