The Role of the Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission <br /> <br />Paragraph 3: ...This is accomplished by active open meetings, surveys, etc. <br /> <br />Specific responsibilities of the Commission are to: <br />· Establish goals and objectives to include <br /> Improvement Program. <br /> <br />maintaining a responsible 5 year Capital <br /> <br />Mission Statement <br /> <br />Paragraph 1: The Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission is dedicated to creating a balanced <br />system of active and passive recreational opportunities for all residents that enhance and promote <br />the significant natural resources that exist in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Paragraph 2: It is our mission to preserve and protect natural resources...(delete "those") <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission is to address the Community Participation and Interaction portions <br />at the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />ADDRESS VACANCY ON THE PARK AND RECREATION <br />COMMISSION <br /> <br />Co-Chair Cook expressed that the Commission, as a whole, felt there was a need to address the <br />current vacancy created by City Council's decision not to reappoint Ron Hetland to the <br />Commission through a letter and by attempting to be put on the November 14 Council agenda. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos explained that the agenda for the Council meeting had been completed, but may not <br />have been delivered to the Council members. He agreed to mail the letter composed by the <br />Commission members tonight so Council members would have time to review it prior to the <br />meeting on November 14. <br /> <br />Co-Chair Cook read the letter aloud, and it was acknowledged that it expressed what the <br />Commission's requests were as well as justifying the decision to recommend appointment of <br />Steve Ostmm to the Commission. <br /> <br />All members agreed to be present at the City Council meeting, November 14. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Skinner voiced that a thank you letter should be sent to Ms. Karen Nevison, who <br />provided refreshments for the Lake Itasca ribbon cutting ceremony.
