Case #4: ADDRESS VACANCY ON THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION Co-Chair Cook expressed that the Commission, as a whole, felt there was a need to address the current vacancy created by City Council's decision not to reappoint Ron Hetland to the Commission through a letter and by attempting to be put on the November 14 Council agenda. Mr. Boos explained that the agenda for the Council meeting had been completed, but may not have been delivered to the Council members. He agreed to mail the letter composed by the Commission members tonight so Council members would have time to review it prior to the meeting on November 14. Co-Chair Cook read the letter aloud, and it was acknowledged that it expressed what the Commission's requests were as well as justifying the decision to recommend appointment of Steve Ostmm to the Commission. All members agreed to be present at the City Council meeting, November 14. COMMISSION INPUT Commissioner Skinner voiced that a thank you letter should be sent to Ms. Karen Nevison, who provided refreshments for the Lake Itasca ribbon cutting ceremony.
