Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #07-09-245 A RESOLUTION APPROVING PAY NO 3 TO NORTHWEST ASPHALT FOR BUNKER LAKE BOULEVARD W ATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the AUAR prepared for the Ramsey Town center has identified the need for additional well capacity for the City's water utility; and WHEREAS, Bids have been accepted for the construction of Well No.7 and Well No.8; and WHEREAS, extension of the existing water system will be required to connect Well No. 7 and Well No.8 to the system; and WHEREAS, Bolton and Menk, Inc was authorized to prepare plans and specifications for this work; and WHEREAS, on September 26, 2006 the Ramsey City Council authorized the advertisement for bids; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Bunker Lake Blvd Watermain Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and recommends partial pay No I to Northwest Asphalt Inc. the' amount of $266,030.08. WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and recommends partial pay No 2 to Northwest Asphalt Inc. the amount of $8,706.14. WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the completed work and recommends partial pay No 3 Final to Northwest Asphalt Inc. the amount of $26,714.97. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. for Improvement Project #05-41 in the amount of$26,714.97. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment.
