4) Annual Contract Renewal for Civil Defense Siren Maintenance <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart informed Council that Doradus Corporation is the only company in <br />the area that can do the maintenance and repair of our storm sirens. Their increase in price <br />impacts the 1996 budget. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to authorize <br />staff to enter into a contract with Doradus Corporation for the maintenance and repair of our <br />civil defense sirens at a contract price of $7,548 per year with a 60-day cancellation clause. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) Amendments to the 1996 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges <br /> <br />Ms. Hart explained that, due to lack of time, this case was tabled at the Finance Committee <br />level; however, it has been placed at the end of the Council agenda for discussion. <br /> <br />6) General Fund Interim Financial Report as of October 31, 1995 <br /> Actual Compared to Budget <br /> <br />Ms. Hart stated that this case was also tabled due to lack of time. <br /> <br />7) Finance Update <br /> <br />Due to lack of time, the Finance Committee did not discuss this case either. <br /> <br />Case #11: Amendments to the 1996 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart explained some of the increases slated for the 1996 schedule of rates, <br />fees and charges. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt <br />Resolution g95-11-264 approving the amendments to the 1996 Schedule of Rates, Fees <br />and Charges. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beahen, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Landfill Gas Agreement - Waste Management <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder disseminated a packet of correspondence from and to Waste <br />Management of Minnesota pertaining to the Landfill Gas Agreement. The understanding is <br />that Waste Management is terminating the marketing of gas. The City has put them on <br />notice that we understand what they are doing but that we want the opportunity to review <br />any changes. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was that Mr. Goodrich should send a letter stating that the City <br />acknowledges that the agreement has been terminated. <br /> <br />City Council/November 28, 1995 <br /> Page 12 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
