CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, December 12, 1995, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present; <br /> <br />Mayor Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />SWEARING IN <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich issued the Peace Officer Swearing in to Patrol Officer Duane Stem. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Jeff Hackert stated he would like the business licensing reviewed as the license fee for auto <br />repair facilities went up 500%. <br /> <br />Gary Harvet added he is not certain why the huge increase but asked that Council please <br />review it and be fair. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to place this issue as a case on the agenda for the first <br />Council meeting in January and that staff should poll area cities with regard to whether or <br />not they require a license and, if so, what the cost is. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Cotmcilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />approve the agenda with the following cases added: Case #17: Schedule Workshops; and <br />Case #18: Adopt Resolution Approving Anoka Area Ice Arena Association Application for <br />a Premise Permit for Lawful Gambling at JR's Saloon and Food (which was originally <br />listed as g9 on the Consent Agenda). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Zimmerman, <br />Beahen and Beyer. Voting No: None.
