NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Commission noted the following City Council meeting minutes: <br /> <br />1) City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated March 22, 1994. <br /> <br />2) City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated April 12, 1994. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer noted that the City Council tabled the thoroughfare setback ordinance at <br />their last meeting of April 26, 1994. City Engineer Jankowski informed the Commission that the <br />County has placed it on their Public Works Agenda for May. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Acting ChairPerson Hendriksen adjourned the regular Planning Commission meeting at 7:35 p.m. <br />in order to conduct the following public hearings: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Home Occupation for a One Station Beauty <br />Salon in the R- 1 Rural Residential District; Case of Jeffrey and Julie Lorge. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Home Occupation to Conduct Doll Making <br />Classes in the R- 1 Urban Residential District; Case of Diane Dempsey. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Hendriksen called the regular Planning Commission meeting back to order at <br />7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Home Occupation; Case <br /> of Jeffrey and Julie Lorge <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated Jeffrey and Julie Lorge of 17310 St. Francis Boulevard N.W. <br />have applied for a conditional use permit (CUP) for a home occupation to establish and operate a <br />one-chair beauty salon operation in their home. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission proceeded to review the Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Holland that #1 through g9 <br />would remain as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Hendriksen, Commissioners Deemer, Holland, <br />Terry, and Thomd. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Bawden and Commissioner LaDue. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Terry and seconded by Commissioner Holland to amend #10 to read <br />"That the proposed use will not be unduly dangerous or otherwise detrimental to neighboring <br />residences." <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Hendriksen, Commissioners Terry, Holland, <br />Deemer, and Thorud. Voting No: None.
