PUBLIC HEARING
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

The Ramsey Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing on Thursday, March 17, 1994 at the
Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input
regarding a request for a variance to encroach on the thoroughfare setback; case of Terry
Hendriksen.

Members Present:

Chairperson Benjamin Deemer
Board Member Terry Hendriksen
Board Member Paul Holland
Board Member Charles LaDue
Board Member Michael Terry
Board Member Bradley Thomd

Members Absent: Board Member David Bawden

Also Present:

Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik

CALL TO ORDER

Chairperson Deemer called the public hearing to order at 7:33 p.m.

PRESENTATION

Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Terry Hendriksen is proposing to construct an addition to
the principal structure on his property at 15631 Ramsey Boulevard N.W. (C.S.A.H. #56). She
explained that the proposed addition would extend to within 95 feet of the centerline of C.S.A.H.
#56; City Code requires structures to be set back 110 feet from thoroughfare centerlines. She
noted the applicant has stated that Anoka County's improvements to C.S.A.H. #56 in the early
1980s, which included roadway realignment and acquisition of additional right-of-way, have
diminished the depth of his front yard to a point where it now requires a variance to put an addition
on the home.

CITIZEN INPUT
None

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Board Member LaDue and seconded by Board Member Holland to adjourn the public
hearing.

Motion carried.
