Case #3: Economic Development Commission Size.

Chairperson Wagner noted that the EDC is currently comprised of nine members as compared to
the seven members that make up most of the other Commissions in the City. This number has
made it difficult for the Commission to attract members and have a quorum present at the meetings.
Since the EDC has had only five members, the attendance has been up and the amount of material
covered has increased.

Commissioner Ullen agreed that the EDC appears to get more done in a shorter period of time with
the smaller group.

Motion by Commissioner Stafki and seconded by Commissioner Kent to recommend to the City
Council that the Economic Development Commission be reduced to seven members from the
current nine.

Motion can'ied. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Ullen, Nelson, Stafld and
Kent. Voting No: None.

STAFF INPUT

Mr. Gromberg informed the EDC that the City had met with ParaBody and discussed their future
plans. Mr. Gromberg summarized these plans with the EDC.

The EDC did request to work with the City in the future with the scheduling of the business
visitations.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Nelson and seconded by Commission Stafki to adjourn the meeting of
the Economic Development Commission.

Motion carded.
