Mr. Schwanke discussed working with other entities, noting that some Comprehensive Plan
processes allow other jurisdictions to comment and debate.

Mr. Johnson noted that the two central parties involved were the City of Ramsey and the City of
Dayton, and he was encouraged by the proactive stand taken in dealing with them.

Commissioner Deemer commented on the new well field identified in Figure 7A and suggested
locating the well field in the park across the highway.

Mr. Jankowski stated the well field was not a major concern but one that needed to be considered,
and he would take the suggestion into consideration.

Councilmember Peterson, while noting the importance of the issues at hand, stated that Council is
very busy with the budget at the present time but could hopefully provide comments regarding the
proposed amendments by the end of July.

Councilmember Hardin suggested providing the opportunity for the Economic Development
Commission and City Council to meet within the next 60 days allowing ample time to address the
many elements deserving attention before scheduling the public hearing. He stressed the
importance of presenting one view at the public heating as opposed to 7 or 8 different plans.

It was the consensus of City Council, the Planning Commission, and the Economic Development
Commission that the Planning Commission be updated on the progress of discussions at their
September 6, 1994 meeting.

Case /12: Follow-up Information Relating to Transportation Plan Update

Per the request of the Planning Commission, traffic counts were provided.

COUNCIL/COMMISSION
None

INPUT

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to adjourn the meeting

Motion carried.
