The express purpose of our meeting with the
commission is to pursue the procurement of a ZIP CODE # for the
City of Ramsey. Mr, Wagner reports this has been done numerous
times over the past years to no avail for whatever reason.

Our reasons for making this attempt again are obvious:

1. IDENTITY: Anoka Elec Coop, Detail Engineering and
other businesses moving into Ramsey should be accorded
this identity as well as those already here.
2. With our population being set at 14,300 (1993) these
residents are entitled to this identity also. Most have
never identified with Anoka nor have any desire to do so.
3. CONVENIENCE: Legal documents as well as regular mail
is irritatingly addressed to Anoka, meaning the recipient
has to notify the sender to correct the records for accuracy
and legality. This is unacceptable.

We could go on, but I'm sure you can appreciate our position.
What would your office suggest as the most expeditious way for
the City of Ramsey to accomplish this end? Can we count on your
office for whatever assistance is needed?

Thank you!

Irl G. Larsen
