Mr. Boos was asked to review the Commission's process <br />for the Capital Improvement Program for the benefit of the public. <br /> <br />Case 02: <br /> <br />APPROVE BUDGET AND INTERIM PARK PLAN FOR THE <br />NEIGHBORHOOD PARK LOCATED IN THE SUNNY PONDS <br />SUBDIVISION <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Boos and City Administrator Schroeder gave an overview of the Sunny <br />Ponds subdiVision and Prairie District. The Commission was also apprised of all the future <br />development potential of the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder and Mr. Boos both feel that a toddler type play area is essential to this area as most <br />families are first time home buyers with young children. <br /> <br />The Commissioners feel that a path is essential as well as a shelter and tot-level play equipment <br />located directly off the path. <br /> <br />Chairperson Hefland asked if Mr. Boos could work different options within the allotted monies <br />with consideration to what is available in other parks in the area. <br /> <br />It was agreed by consensus to hold the April meeting at the park location in Sunny Ponds to better <br />analyze the area. <br /> <br />Next Park and Recreation Commission Meeting <br /> <br />The next regular scheduled Park and Recreation Commission meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on <br />Thursday, April 14, 1994, at the park site in the Sunny Ponds subdivision. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />There was no quorum at this time, but the consensus of the Commission was to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />The regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Llnda Mayer <br />Recording Secretary <br /> <br />Mark Boos <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/March 10, 1994 <br /> Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
