Ramsey, MN 55303 Dear Friends, We have reviewed the feasibility study for the connecting of 153rd and 155th Avenues N.W. and believe it outlines a creative approach to solving many problems. From our perspective it will enhance not only our prop~ but tho community as a whole. The creation cfa wetland park and trail system will be a city wide improvement, and we hope our tr~e farm on the east side will complement this use. We're glad to see that the w~tland is preserved in its entirety, and that more titan just a few lucky people like ourselves will be able to enjoy all that it offers. We also feel that rite trail system will provide an indirect benefit to us and others bordering the wetland. That is, having more people use the area for legitimate purposes will help self-police the area. Until now, people on 4-whalers, dirt bikes, snowmobiles and other off-road vehicles have been able to cruise across the swamp and through our newly planted trees. We have no problem with neighbors enjoying our forest, but these riders are ,et there with that in mind! Having people out walking, jogging or bicycling on the trail system will hopefully reduce thc number of harmful trespassers. One qucs6on we have relates to the boardwalk, will both bikers and pedestrians use it? If so, do you anticipate any conflict? With a six foot width it should be enough to handle both, but who knows? Finally, thc road itself appears to be well plmmed, and we hope it solves the difficulty of east-west navigation across Rainsey. It will certainly help our comer, the crazy curve where vehicles slide into the ditch, through our fence and into our trees.
