MEMORANDUM

DATE:

July 26, 1994

TO:

FROM:

SUBJECT:

Ryan Schroeder, City Administrator a
Steve Jankowski, City Engineer ~.
James Gromberg, Economic Development Coordinato

153rd/155th Avenue Connection

On Friday, July 22, 1994, the parents of the owners of the property identified as PIN #21-32-25-
11-0005 (see attached map) indicated that they had heard that the City would be widening 155th
Avenue N.W. to accommodate the proposed extension of 155th to 153rd Avenue between Variolite
Street N.W. and Armstrong Boulevard N.W. This widening would then place the new roadway
on their doorstep.

After a brief discussion, the caller was informed that this proposed extension would not require
any additional roadway from the properties along 155th Avenue N.W. She felt that the new park
and trails would be a great benefit as she spends a lot of time walking in the area with her
grandchildren.

Overall, she felt the road would be an asset and that the City should continue plans for the road and
its construction in 1995.

/jkl
