I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

CASE

INFRASTRUCTURE IMPACT FEES
By: Steven Jankowski, City Engineer

Background:

This case con'ela~s to the previous case on public improvement assessments. It differs in that the
issue becomes what is an appropriate charge to a development for the cost of trunk infrastructure
which is curte_ nfly in place as a result of past City expenditures. Examples of this could be what
charge would be made to a development which would occur adjacent to 153rd Avenue N.W. for
which no assessments were collected. It is Staff's recommendation that a policy for collecting an
impact fee be established in advance on an issue.

Committee Action:

Direct Staff to begin work developing a policy for consideration and adoption by City Council.

Reviewed by:

City Engineer

RB:07/27/93
