REQUR~T FOR PROPORAL <br />CSAH 116 and CR 116 Acceas and Corridor Study <br />From CSAI:I 7 to TH 47 <br /> <br />The Aaoka County Highway Deparmaent ia conjunction with Se City ofAaoka .aad the City of Ramsey is <br />seeking consultant services for the development of aa access and corridor study i'or CSAH I 16 and CR. 1 ! 6. <br />The consultant selected for this project would provide assistance in truffle engineering and in the development <br />of a transportation plan for the numagement of aee~ss and highway improvements on this segment of <br />highway. Ii'interested in this project, please document your response ia the form ora technical proposal. <br />Outlined below is the project Re, quest for Proposal. This request for proposal does aot oblig~_~ Aaoka <br />County to complete the project and it reserves the right to cancel the salicitation if it is considered to be ia its <br />best interest. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF PROJECT <br /> <br /> This project will require the coasultant ia study and develop a corridor plan that will be used by <br /> Anoka County, City of Anoka and thee cision-making and planning of~e <br /> ooeration and development <br /> . <br /> <br />'~~g and likely land uses along the study segment, developmeat of guidelines and <br />recommendations for managing access along the corridor, and identifying design improvements for <br />intersections and roadway segments. Environmeatal impacts and constraints will also be identified. <br />Th~ 6,,,,1 report will summarizo the study fmcling!g prepare cost estimates, aM make <br />recommendations for policies and implementaticm. The report will be distributed to the <br /> County, City of Anoka, City of Ramsey, and Metropolitan Council for comment prior to finali:,ntlon. <br /> <br />GOALS AND OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />The goal of this project is to provide a ~na! report that will include the dam gaflaerexk documentation <br />on the development of the alternatives and their analysis, and any other materials, informazion and <br />conclusions found in the work plan summarized above in the project scope. <br /> <br />PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS <br /> <br />The major tasks to be accomplished include, but are not limited to the following: <br /> <br />· Data Colle~au <br /> <br />_ Identify functional classification ~ current level of service <br />_ Identify speed limits and compare with actual speed <br />_ Prepare 5-year accident history <br />_ Idoatif3, locatioa o£private accesses <br />_ Identify substandard sections with regard to sight distance, ~ highway geometries <br /> <br />l~uem for PropoeaL116 Corridor Study <br /> <br /> <br />
