He discussed how the U.S. <br />Army Corp 6,f Engineers also regulates the wetlands and to what extent. He also noted other <br />interested agc~cies. <br /> <br />Chris Lord, ~presenting Anoka County Soil and Water Conservation District, explained how <br />wetlands are[typed according to the hydrology, vegetation and soils. He also discussed their <br />involvement and regulation of the wetlands. <br /> <br />Zoning Admigistrator Frolik inquired what needs to be done with regard to platting a development, <br />and Mr. Lord~ advised that the developer should have the wetlands delineated before the survey is <br />done. He s ~ta~ed the City should make sure there is data to support the delineation. He also stated <br />the delineat!~ must be done between April and November when there is no snow on the ground to <br />impede the ~n~ras~ements. <br /> <br />Case #3: Monthly Status Report <br /> <br />Commission~r D~mer inquired as to the status of the vacation of the cul de sacs discussed at the <br />July meefing~ and Ms. Frolik explained that the City is initiating and paying for the simultaneous <br />vacation of ¢,tjl do sacs across the city. <br /> <br />Case #4: Zoning Bulletin and Zoning News <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer briefly noted some specific cases in the Zoning Bulletins. <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Commission~ Deemer again suggested the City look at strengthening the littering ordinance, and <br />Commissi..on~r Ten'7 suggested possibly offering a citizen reward, similar to the City of <br />Minneapoh~i,!for furnishing evidence leading to the identity of those illegally dumping in the City <br />limits.
