Carrie Olson, 15811 Okapi Street N.W., has a horse on 2.4 acres and has <br />requested a conditional use permit. The Horse Care Board is recommending approval. She noted <br />the petition in ~fav0r of Ms. Olson keeping her horse. Ms. Frolik also noted that Connie Mortensen <br />had initially signed the petition in favor of Ms. Olson's request but has since written a letter to Staff <br />listing some c~ncerns. Those are as follows: 1) That a removal system for manure be established; <br />2) That the ac~e~ ssory structure will soon be sided and painted; and 3) That they plant some quick- <br />growing trees gong the property line. <br /> <br />Carrie Olson, 1158'11 Okapi Street N.W., Ramsey, asked that she be granted her conditional use <br />permit which would allow her to keep her horse. <br /> '. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Colleen Folk~tad, 15011 Willemite Street N.W., Ramsey, stated that Carrie and her husband <br />specifically looked for a place to build their home where it would be feasible to keep Carrie's <br />horse. She ~ that the Commission consider the conditional use permit and added that the horse <br />makes the neighborhood special. <br /> <br />Randy Johnson, 15812 Okapi Street N.W., Ramsey, stated the horse has not been disruptive. The <br />horse is very gentle, and the children enjoy feeding and petting it.
