A supply of flyers was also <br />provided to Oaela. of the Commission members for additional distribution. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults recommended that a third page insert be included with the flyer that would <br />encourage ~e businesses to either donate a prize or sponsor a hole for the event. This will assist <br />the Commis~iion members as they contact the businesses. <br /> <br />The EDC th~n discussed the proposed 1992 inductees into the Ramsey Business Hall of Fame. <br />The nominees include Gary Reimann, Bemerd Vevea, Wes Bulen and Duke Groslein. Criteria for <br />appointment into the Hall of Fame was discussed. The consensus was that the criteria include <br />involvement' in the City of Ramsey, in both a private and public capacity and for a considerable <br />length of time. <br /> <br />Based upon this discussion, each member of the EDC should bring back to the August meeting a <br />list of homings for the Ramsey Business Hall of Fame. The following is a list of criteria: Length <br />of service in the City of Ramsey, length of private development activities and time spent in public <br />activities. <br /> <br />Case #3: 1993 Business Expo. <br /> <br />The date for .the 1993 Business Expo has been set for October 17, 1993. The City has contracted <br />with CEI for~booth rentals. The booth rental will again be $75 for each booth. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kent has agreed to act as chairperson. <br /> <br />The EDC will, again, be requesting a $2,000 donation of "seed" money from City Council to help <br />defray the cOst of the advertising and expenses for this event. Each and every member of the <br />Economic Development Commission was asked to take an active role in making this year's <br />Business Expo the best ever. <br /> <br />Mr. Kent indicated that he is hoping to do additional advertising this year, which will require more <br />time from each member of the EDC to contact local businesses and encourage their participation. <br />Mr. Kent will be contacting each EDC member soon to schedule planning meetings. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Fults and seconded by Commissioner Gorecki to adjourn the meeting of <br />the EDC. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Ullen, Fults and Greenberg. <br />Voting No: None.
