The Chamber office has received 12 sign-ups for golf and dinner,
two for dinner only and two hole sponsors. Donated prizes will be picked up on Wednesday,
August 25, 1993. This will allow us to list all prize donors and recognize them.

The EDC began to discuss election of an inductee into the Ramsey Economic Development Hall of
Fame.

Chairperson Wagner suggested that Mr. Grosslein of Grosslein or Sackie from Hewers by Jackie.

Commission~ Nelson asked ff any business women had been inducted into the Ramsey Economic
Development Hall of Fame.

Mr. Gromberg informed her that none were and all inductees since 1989 have been past members
of the EDC.

Commissioner Fults suggested Gary Reimann as he has been in business and very involved in City
business as Mayor and on the Planning and Zoning Commission, or perhaps Wes Bulen who was
the driving foice behind the development of Rum River Hills Golf Course.

Chairperson Wagner felt it was of the utmost importance to select someone who has been totally
involved with the City, including sponsoring RYAA teams, the Business Expo and Business
Appreciationr, Day_ prize donations. Chairperson Wagner stated that Mr. Grosslein fits this
description quite nicely.

Commissioner Nelson inquired as to whether it is a good idea in the future to consider members of
different chur/e, hes also as they are very involved in promotions within the City, as with Pastor
Blair Andem0n from Lord of Life Lutheran Chumh which has seen the construction of a new
facility and amazlqg growth in the past few years.

Commissioner Fults indicated that perhaps we should examine developing another award such as
Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year or even Business of the Year. This would allow
recognition of a business that perhaps does not have a long track record, but is up and coming
within the corfimunity.

Commissioner Stafki agreed that the Economic Development Hall of Fame should be more of a
"Lifetime" award.

Motion by C_l~'per~. n Wagner and seconded by Commissioner Ullen to induct Mr. Grosslein into
the Ramsey F, eon~c Development Hall of Fame,

Motion carded.
