GREEN TREE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey ,Cn'een Tree Committee conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, July 15, 1993 at the <br />Ramsey Mun!cipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Pre~ent: <br /> <br />Merrilyn Steiner <br />Dana Henry <br />Beth Mitchell <br />Bruce Bacon <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Anoka High School Community Services is hosting a Volunteer Fair on Friday, September 23, <br />1993 at 2:15 p.m. at the field house. The Ramsey Green Tree Committee wants to be represented <br />and needs Committee volunteers to solicit help for Ramsey tree projects. <br /> <br />The Anoka County Tree Board is helping landscape a Habitat for Humanity project in New <br />Brighton on August 1, 1993. <br /> <br />Fall tree planting project candidate sites: <br /> <br />1) Old schoolhouse on Hwy #47. <br /> <br />2) Ramsey Elementary School <br /> <br />Trail link to Ramsey School <br /> <br />Educational identification <br /> <br />Prairie restoration and native bur oaks <br /> <br />PTA - Environmental Committee <br /> <br />3) Commercial sites <br /> <br />4) Additional Parks <br /> <br />5) Other <br /> <br />Bruce Bacon has invited Wendy Graves (421-7666 h) and the PTA Environmental Committee to <br />the August Oreen Tree Committee meeting. Beth Mitchell has spoken with Tom Redmond of the <br />school distriot and with the principal about the project. Dana Henry is talking to the 167th Avenue <br />and Hwy #47 commercial site, perhaps for Spring Arbor Events. <br /> <br />On Tuesday, July 27, 1993 the Finance Committee received the Expo report and the Green Tree <br />Committee request to sequester our $360 share of fundraising for a tree planting project. <br />Councilmember Peterson requested that the Green Tree Committee provide a plan and budget for <br />the fall planting project. Councilmember Zimmerman suggested that the Green Tree Committee <br />may want to register as a 501(c)3.
